The Academy of Notre Dame 46th Annual Fine Art Show & Sale—Jan. 25–Feb. 3

If you love art, head to The Academy of Notre Dame’s Fine Art Show & Sale. This week-long exhibit features nearly 100 artists’ work in a variety of mediums, and is free and open to the public.

This year’s featured artist is Delaware resident Shawn Faust, one of the country’s premiere equine artists. His painting Cowbella can be found alongside the other artwork at the show. Info at NDAPA.org/ArtShow.

The Snow Queen at Media Theatre—Jan. 27–Mar. 3

Children and parents alike will be charmed by The Snow Queen, a family-friendly musical based on Hans Christian Anderson’s story. Two children, Arthur and Angela, face trouble when angry sprites release a broken mirror in the land. The mirror causes all good things to look mean and ugly, and all nasty things to look … interesting. And then the Snow Queen appears, stealing Arthur away!

With lessons for all, this musical is sure to delight. Tickets $12-$15. Info at MediaTheatre.org.

Willowdale Steeplechase Guest Bartender Night—Jan. 30

Head to the BBC Tavern and Grill for drinks for a cause. At the Willowdale Steeplechase Guest Bartender Night, have your favorite bartender prepare you a drink, and then leave a generous tip. Tips will be donated to a Willowdale Steeplechase beneficiary: Quest Therapeutic Services, Stroud Water Research Center, or The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine New Bolton Center.
