The Media Theatre’s Coming Season

With outstanding dramatic and musical performances, the Media Theatre has been a keystone of the local performing arts scene for 32 years. Situated in the heart of Delaware County and known for its strong community focus, the theater has been a hub for devoted audiences coming together to celebrate the art of live theater.

The upcoming 2026–27 season is packed with excitement, including four Broadway-caliber productions: a murder-mystery comedy, the iconic Roald Dahl chocolatier story, the adventurous prequel to the story of Peter Pan and a Broadway classic.

“Murder for Two” (October 1–18) launches the season. One actor investigates. The other plays all the suspects. Both play piano. The result is a hilarious, side-splitting musical murder mystery with a twist.

For only the lucky few, Willy Wonka opens the gates of his mysterious factory, and young Charlie and four other golden ticket winners travel through a world of Roald Dahl’s imagination, including chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels and the great glass elevator. For the holidays, and the kids, there are plenty of delicious roles in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” (November 27, 2026–January 3, 2027).

Before he became the legendary Peter Pan, he was a nameless, miserable orphan, longing for home. But, inspired by Molly, he chooses a high seas adventure, trying to save the world from evil, and the boy is transformed. Enjoy “Peter and the Starcatcher” (March 4–21, 2027).

The season concludes with the Pulitzer Prize-winning “A Chorus Line” (May 6–30, 2027). The play examines one day in the lives of 17 dancers, all trying out for a part in a Broadway musical.
