Thanks to a grant from the Foxwynd Foundation, Thorncroft Equestrian Center has welcomed two specially trained adaptive lesson horses, expanding access to its renowned Adaptive/ Therapeutic Horsemanship Program. Bentley is a calm, beginner-friendly horse, while Flash’s smooth gait and specialized training make him uniquely suited for riders with neurological and mobility challenges. Century of Craft

The Wharton Esherick Museum is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the famed artist, designer and craftsman’s iconic studio, which broke ground in 1926 and anchors the museum’s 12-acre campus today. Centennial festivities continue throughout the year, including “Breaking Ground,” on view through September 20. The museum’s 32nd annual juried woodworking exhibition explores what it means to be groundbreaking while honoring Esherick’s enduring artistic legacy. 1520 Horseshoe Trail, Malvern. One for the History Books

Cecil County’s Bohemia Manor Farm took a shot at the Guinness World Record for the most people simultaneously sabering bottles of wine. The winery and resort invited adults 21 and older to join the record attempt — the current record is 487 — while raising funds for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Welcome back, Ash Park! Coatesville recently celebrated the completion of the first two phases of a $4 million-plus restoration, transforming the longtime neighborhood favorite into a modern hub for recreation and community gatherings. New amenities include expanded play areas, renovated and new basketball courts, a colorful splash pad, and a pavilion with seating and restrooms. Butterfly Effect

Kennett Square is a little more colorful this summer thanks to Kennett Collaborative’s butterfly-inspired public art project. Discover six vibrant butterfly benches — water jet-cut by Stone Masters Inc. and painted by local artists — at locations including the KSQ Farmers Market, Anson B. Nixon Park, the Kennett Library, Braeloch Brewing and Caffé Pura. Plus, the Kennett Library MakerSpace has stocked borough lending libraries with 3D-printed butterfly sticker boxes.
