Citadel Country Spirit USA—Aug. 23–25
Throw on your cowboy boots and hats and get ready for the second year of the Citadel Country Spirit USA country music festival. You can expect headliners like Billy Currington, Little Big Town and Old Dominion, and other big names such as Lee Brice, Brothers Osbourne and the Eli Young Band.
More than music, the festival also offers plenty of fun, food vendors, restaurants and libations. 3-day passes from $249; single-day tickets from $89, plus fees. More at CountrySpiritUSA.com.

PA Dutch Farm to Fork Fondo—Aug. 23–25
Take in the breathtaking views of Pennsylvania Amish country on this organized bicycle ride. Choose the distance that works best for you—like the 9-mile Ramble Ride, 33-mile Piccolo, 45-mile Medio or 82-mile Gran. Throughout the ride, stop for chef-prepared bites at local farms.
And grab tickets to the Friday night Meet The Farmers Dinner at 6:30, or the Saturday Post-Ride Farm-to-Fork Barbecue. Also Saturday after the race the Festival Market will be open to the public, with live music from 1–5 p.m. Tickets $25–$138. More at FarmForkFondo.com.

4th Annual West Chester Summer Soiree—Aug. 24
Dress in your best white attire, pack up a tasty picnic dinner and cocktails, and get ready to dance and dine under the stars. Arrive at 6:30 p.m. to start decorating your tables—the top three groups with fabulous table décor will win a prize!
Don’t want to pack your own dinner? Order a box dinner, $15 per person, from local Arianna’s Gourmet Café and Catering. Dinners will be delivered to the surprise location for pickup. Brandywine in White—Aug. 24
The Brandywine Valley’s Pop-Up BYO Summer Gala, held at a secret location, revealed before the event. Guests wear white and provide their picnic dinner, wine, centerpiece, etc. Dinner setup begins at 5:30, and finishes by 7 p.m. so the dinner and music can begin. Prizes will be awarded for the most elegant white tables.
Benefits Neighbors for Crebilly’s work to save open space. This year’s venue, though a secret, does have indoor accommodations if the weather is bad. Attendance is limited, so buy your ticket before they sell out! Tickets $30–$300. More at Facebook.com/BrandywineInWhite.

5k Trail Run for Thorncroft—Aug. 29
Run, walk or wheel along the riding paths and through the fields, then visit Thorncroft Farm and enjoy food, beverages and music. The course takes you through the beautiful grounds and pastures of Thorncroft, and includes terrain from pavement and gravel to wood chips and grass.
After the race, sip local craft beer from Locust Lane Craft Brewery—participants 21 and older receive a free beer post-race! Benefits the care of horses, the true healers in all Thorncroft does. Rain or shine. $30. More at Thorncroft.org.
