79th Annual Chester County Day—Oct. 5
Always the first Saturday in October, this long-running house tour is known to fans as “The Day.” Celebrate the beautiful architecture and history of Chester County as you tour stunning home and grounds. VIP ticketholders can stroll around Clock Tower Farm, visiting the Greek Revival mansion and a 65-foot clock tower built during World War I.

Main Line Animal Rescue Gran Fondo Cycling Event—Oct. 5
Join 500+ riders for this 4th annual cycling event to bike Chester County’s picturesque country roads. Enjoy great food and beer, a live band, raffles, games and meet-and-greet with adoptable dogs.
Start and finish for the race are at Pickering Meade Farm, the 60-acre home of Main Line Animal Rescue. Stick around for the after-party, featuring a beer garden, live music and awards ceremony. More at MLARGranFondo.org.

Delaware Nature Society Harvest Moon Festival—Oct. 5
Travel to the rolling hillside of Coverdale Farm Preserve, a 200-acre nature preserve and 177-acre working farm, for this annual autumnal event, featuring hayrides, pumpkin carving, a corn maze, pony rides and more. There’s even a live animal photobooth with goats and other Instagram-worthy livestock! An event that’s sure to entertain children and adults alike.
After working up an appetite, check out food trucks for a tasty mid-festival meal. Admission is free for members; $5 for non-members. More at DelawareNatureSociety.org.

To Love a Canine Rescue—Miles For Mutts—Oct. 6
Lace up your shoes and bring your four-legged pal to To Love A Canine Rescue’s 5th annual Miles for Mutts, a fun 5K race (with prizes) and a 1-mile Fun Walk at beautiful Wilson Farm Park. Rent a pup for $20 to accompany you on the Fun Walk. Be sure to visit the vendors, food truck and doggos!

People’s Light Golf Classic—Oct. 7
“Swing for a Cause” and enjoy friendly competition with those who share a passion for the arts … and golf. This 17th Annual Golf Tournament includes a brunch buffet, tee time and a raffle. Later that evening, enjoy cocktails and dinner. Can’t make it? Feel free to send a donation.
