March of Dimes’ Philadelphia Signature Chefs Gala—Nov. 14

Calling all foodies! Now’s your chance to savor tastings from some of Philadelphia’s most celebrated chefs. Designed to satisfy the most demanding palates, this annual event celebrates culinary excellence. Have a decadent dessert while you participate in a live auction of exciting items. Attendants may also participate in a special Fund the Mission activity.

Greystone Hall & Colonial Playhouse Present The Manor—Nov. 14–17

Delight in an evening of murder and mayhem inside a mansion in a chaotic two-act play by Kathrine Bates, as the main star of the show is the beautiful Greystone Hall. Travel back to the 1920s as the play, inspired by true events, profiles a prominent MacAlister family riding the tide of good fortunate until a disastrous night ends in senseless tragedy.

Historic Yellow Springs Fine Arts & Craft Show—Nov. 15–17

Shop unique gifts for the holidays and browse works by more than 30 contemporary fine craft artists in this annual show. Regional artists will feature ceramics, wood, glass and jewelry. Get your holiday shopping done early at the opening reception on Friday.

“Meet and greet” an invited artist on Sunday. Admission $5, members and children free. More at YellowSprings.org.

Devereux 20th Advanced Hope Gala—”Fostering Independence”—Nov. 16

This black-tie event hosted by Devereux raises money to support programs and services by providing special, once-in-a-lifetime experiences and other unique items at live and silent auctions. The year’s theme “Fostering Independence” celebrates the organization’s mission of helping individuals living with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences.

This popular event is expected to draw more than 400 people, so get ready for fun with food and drinks provided by Brulee Catering. Tickets $400 and up. More at HopeGala.Devereux.org.

2019 Holidays in Historic Odessa, DE—Nov. 19–Dec. 29

Historic Odessa transforms into a literary dream with the Secret Garden holiday exhibition. Based on the beloved children’s novel, the setting immerses others in Mary Lennox’s experiences of the walled garden she discovers and brings to life to rejuvenate the spirit of Colin Craven.
