August 2026 Food News in the Brandywine Valley

Written by County Lines Magazine

A few of our favorite things to share this month about local food and drink

Distilling & Dough

That’s Bluebird Distilling & Dough House’s new combo of grain-to-glass spirits and a neo-Neapolitan pizzeria — an Americanized version of the classic — plus small plates from Chef Devon Migeot (Zahav, Rosalie). Adding the dough spurred a renovation and transformation that answered the trend of including food with your drinks. And yes, you can still get the Phoenixville Old Fashioned, along with some new options: the Huntsman and Rum Ham. 100 Bridge St., Phoenixville. BluebirdDistilling.com

Do the Doughnuts

Layered, mini, GF, keto or dog doughnuts — the many choices at Parlor Doughnuts, the first Philly-area location in Berwyn. The restored historic property and patio have become a neighborhood gathering place for sweets plus hot and iced specialty coffees, energizer and refresher drinks, breakfast sandwiches, açaí bowls and more. Try the signature layered doughnuts — flaky, buttery, croissant-like pastries — in flavors like maple bacon and raspberry pistachio. 602 Lancaster Ave. ParlorDoughnuts.com
