Big things in store at Uptown!

This week, we met with Carmen Khan, the new Artistic Director of Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center in West Chester, and learned about what’s in store for at Uptown! this fall.

Khan, founder of the Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre, is bringing her theater expertise to West Chester with a brand-new professional theater program. Uptown! will be debuting its first ever fully-produced theater season, as well as expanding its music, dance, comedy and film programming.

The theater season kicks off with “The Butterfingers Angel, Mary & Joseph, Herod the Nut & the Slaughter of 12 Hit Carols in a Pear Tree,” running November 30 to December 23. “The Mountaintop” is playing February 1 to 26, and “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” will run April 19 to May 7.
