West Chester's America250 time capsule entrustment
This week, we spotted local artifacts — including a copy of County Lines — to be preserved for 50 years in a time capsule!
West Chester’s America250 time capsule was entrusted to the Chester County Welcome Center at a ceremony on Friday. Mayor Lillian DeBaptiste gave remarks before the time capsule was sealed, set to be opened 50 years from now during America’s Tricentennial.
The time capsule will preserve several local artifacts that capture what life was like in Chester County in 2026, including the West Chester flag, a print of Al Moretti’s America250 mural and a copy of County Lines’ 50th anniversary issue. We’re honored to be included!
