Family Pet Show 2020—Jan. 10–12

Bring your aspiring veterinarian to the Family Pet Show for a family-friendly weekend learning all about the wonderful world of pets. Special attractions include the International Cat Association Cat Show, rabbit hopping demonstrations, reptile shows and dog sports like flyball, a relay sport including hurdles and tennis balls.

Leashed pets are welcome, so bring along your best four-legged friend to enjoy the show with you! Tickets $6–$13. More at FamilyPetShows.com.

The Philly Home Show—Jan. 10–12, 17–19

Keep your home décor on trend with inspiration from the Philly Home Show. Try a “Make It, Take It” workshop—maybe the VIP workshop with TV personality Jeff Devlin on January 11—for a chance to get creative and take home something new. Get ideas and advice for designing a “petite retreat” in a quiet space or nook. Or shop for unique giftware in Philly’s Favorite Finds marketplace.

Be sure to say hello to adorable adoptable dogs of the PA SPCA that will be strutting in style at the show. Tickets $3–$10. More at PhillyHomeshow.com.

The Keswick Theatre Presents—Jan. 11–Feb. 7

Check out the great lineup planned for the beginning of the New Year! On January 11, rock out to Led Zeppelin hits like “Stairway to Heaven” with Kashmir—The Live Led Zeppelin Show. January 18, Grammy Award-winning rapper Coolio, accompanied by Tone Loc and Young MC, will bring hip hop to the Keswick. And Don’t Stop Believin’ on January 31, when Voyage—A Tribute to Journey will bring the timelessness of Journey to the stage.

Taste of Phoenixville—Jan. 16

Guests at Taste of Phoenixville

Raise a glass to this annual night of food for a good cause. Sample food and drink from more than 20 local restaurants and caterers like Bistro on Bridge, Molly Maguire’s, Sly Fox Brewing and more. Plus there’s a silent auction for prizes—amusement park tickets, museum admissions, sports memorabilia, pet accessories, to name a few.

STEMtastic Weekends at Hagley—Jan. 19–20, 25–26, Feb. 1–2

Take your kiddos to Hagley to dabble and destroy during a STEMtastic weekend! These weekends are taking the place of Invention Convention and let young inventors and tinkerers investigate the inner workings of electronic gadgets, express their ingenuity by creating an invention while earning a “Hagley patent,” enjoy robotics demonstrations, and participate in hands-on activities.

Kids will take over the Visitor Center second floor gallery for these fun-filled weekends. Tickets $6–$8. More at Hagley.org.
