Delaware Art Museum—”Fairy Tales to Nursery Rhymes”—Through May 12

Climb down the rabbit hole at the Delaware Art Museum for their “Fairy Tales to Nursery Rhymes: The Droller Collection of Picture Book Art” exhibit. From the Brothers Grimm and Mother Goose to Dinosaur Bob and Bumble-Ardy, the images in this exhibit bring these engaging stories to life.

When you visit, consider bringing new or gently used children’s books to donate at the front desk. Books will be given to Read Aloud Delaware, a nonprofit that makes sure every preschool child is read to regularly. Tickets $6–$12. More info at DelArt.org.

Saturday Night Fever—Apr. 17–June 9

Do the hustle as you travel back to the ‘70s with this musical adaption of the Academy Award nominated film Saturday Night Fever. Follow the story of talented, streetwise Tony Manero, a Brooklyn kid who tries to escape his dead-end life through dancing.

Boogie the night away with disco-era hits by the Bee Gees, including “Stayin’ Alive,” “Boogie Shoes,” “Disco Inferno,” and many more! Several of the film’s sub-plots have been removed to make the show more family-friendly, so bring along the whole family! More info at MediaTheatre.org.

Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center, Magical Mystery Doors—Apr. 18

“Come Together” to watch the Magical Mystery Doors, a tribute act blending the music of three legendary bands for a unique performance for music fans. The act will feature music stylings of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and The Doors, highlighting the cultural impact of their music.

Sing along to timeless tunes from each of these iconic bands and celebrate the music that has moved generations of fans. Tickets $20. More info at UptownWestChester.org.

Schuylkill Valley River 50K Relay and Ultra—Apr. 20

Follow the Schuylkill River Trail and take in the breathtaking scenery of Montgomery County and Valley Forge National Park during the Schuylkill River Relay. Race solo or in teams of 3 or 6 runners.

Enjoy more than just a medal at the finish line—each runner gets one post-race Sly Fox beer to keep the festivities going. Take part in all the fun with live music, food trucks and more beer to keep you entertained ‘till nightfall. Proceeds benefit the Schuylkill River Heritage Area. Tickets $93–$269.
