The 24th annual Little Lincolns Gettysburg Address Contest
This week, we spotted six Little Lincolns at the Chester County Community Foundation’s 24th annual Gettysburg Address competition!
Six middle schoolers donning their best Honest Abe getup braced the cold, rainy night to recite the famous Gettysburg Address from the balcony of West Chester’s Lincoln Building.
“Each student works extremely hard on their period costume and presentation skills to deliver such a poignant speech,” says event organizer Joe Martino.
The event encourages young people, as well as their families and friends, to become more involved with their community and more deeply appreciate local history.
