Ice sculptures take over State Street in Media

This week, we spotted spectacular ice sculptures lining State Street in Media!

The first-ever Ice on State event took place this weekend, hosted by the Media Business Authority. Local businesses and organizations sponsored custom ice sculptures created by artists from world-famous Ice Sculpture Philly.

The event featured live carvings, including a baby grand piano in the Plum Street Mall, featuring live music provided by the Media Arts Council and a hospitality tent stocked with hot chocolate, beer from 2SP Brewing Company and cocktails from Bluebird Distillery.

Another popular attraction was the Towne House cornhole boards, made entirely from ice. We saw lots of people, young and old, stopping by for a game!

We hope this super “cool” event comes back next year!
