Spotted This Week

This week, we spotted hungry people and mouthwatering chili at the West Chester Chili Cookoff!

Postponed due to rain, this year’s cookoff couldn’t have asked for better weather. Home cooks and restaurant chefs alike took to Gay Street to vie for the best bowl of chili, competing in four divisions Restaurant, Business, Nonprofit Organization and Hometown Cook/Volunteer Organization/Rotary Club.

Winners included Ryan’s Pub, Chapman Windows, Doors & Siding, The Hickman and Summit Group Retirement Planners, while Stove & Tap took home the coveted People’s Choice Award.

Of course, it’s all for a good cause — proceeds benefit Fiorenza’s Food for Friends, working to end hunger in America.
