A sneak peek at the historic Oakwell property
This week, we spotted the historic Oakwell property in Villanova — soon to be part of Stoneleigh: A Natural Garden!
Adjacent to Stoneleigh, all 13 acres of Oakwell have been permanently preserved by Natural Lands and the Wyncote Foundation. Ten of those acres will become part of an expanded Stoneleigh — and County Lines got a behind-the-scenes look at the property.
Plans for Oakwell include new garden features, a new Welcome Center, preserving Oakwell’s mature trees, expanding educational programming and community connections, and thoughtfully restoring historical buildings — including a greenhouse complex, caretaker’s cottage and garden feature known as the “Tea House.”
