America250 Bell unveiling
This week, we spotted a colorful and patriotic new addition to downtown West Chester.
Business leaders, community members and local leaders gathered at the Historic Courthouse to celebrate the unveiling of Chester County’s America250PA “Bells Across PA” installation. Part of a statewide public art initiative honoring the nation’s 250th anniversary, this uniquely designed bell — created by local artist Ashley Kolpak — reflects the county’s landmarks, natural beauty and community spirit.
In addition to the bell unveiling, the evening’s activities included “Dare to Declare” readings of the Declaration of Independence and the kickoff of this year’s Town Tours & Village Walks.
The bell will be on display at the courtyard adjacent to 28 West Market Street through 2026. To learn more, visit CCCF250.org.
