Spotted This Week

This week, we spotted — and tasted — fine food at Media’s newest Mexican restaurant, Taquero!

One of our 2026 Best of the Best picks for “New Places to Try,” Taquero is owned and operated by Chef Antonio Garcia, formerly of Ariano. The menu features both modern and traditional Mexican cuisine, much inspired by Garcia’s grandmother.

We tried the nachos, special empanadas mixtas (birria and lobster), both birria and arrachera (skirt steak) tacos, and fideo seco — spaghetti with lump crab in a chipotle-tomato sauce. Our meal was paired with a pitcher of the mixer special, blood orange margaritas, and ended with chocolate layer cake and gelato.
