West Chester Preservation Awards

This week, we spotted the winners of the 14th annual West Chester Preservation Awards — including County Lines!

Hosted by the West Chester Downtown Foundation, the awards recognize individuals and organizations for projects that promote a better understanding of the history of West Chester and the need to preserve the physical evidence of that history.

This year, County Lines was honored to receive the Preservation Service Award for nearly 50 years of covering West Chester and Chester County history and preservation. The award was accepted by editor Jo Anne Durako and publisher Ed Malet.

Other winners include the Sutton residence restoration (522 N. Church St.), Patton Alley apartment building restoration (51 Patton Alley), St. Agnes Parish entrance door restoration (233 W. Gay St.) and Preservation Legacy Award winner Thomas J. Comitta. Look forward to a feature on all the winners in our February issue!
