Chester County Community Foundation's Sweet Charity fundraiser
This week, we spotted food, fun and philanthropy at the Chester County Community Foundation’s annual Sweet Charity event!
Hosted at Exton’s Whitford Country Club, this fun evening featured a dessert competition between the area’s finest caterers, restaurants and bakeries. The delectable desserts were judged by Albert Lauber of Neuchatel Chocolates, Chef Chad Durkin of Porchetteria, Dee Rogevich of the PA Restaurant & Lodging Association, Lynn April of Fresh April Flours and Chef Mona Wilson of It’s a CupCake.
NorthBrook MarketPlace and New Street Catering won Best Dessert, for their pistachio mousse taco and salted caramel crunch cake, respectively. Feast Your Eyes Catering’s opera cake with champagne and elderflower won Most Creative, and Delaware County Community College culinary students won the popular vote for their “Blueberry Phantom.”
