Spotted This Week
West Chester University's 15th annual International Trumpet Festival
This week, we spotted — and heard — trumpets galore at West Chester University’s 15th annual Trumpet Festival!
Trumpeters from near and far came to the Wells School of Music for three days of music and camaraderie. During the day, exhibits, classes and more were held at WCU’s Swope Music Building. In the evening, there were concerts at Emily K. Asplundh Concert Hall. On Friday, the U.S. Army Concert Band, and on Saturday, the WCU Criterions Jazz Ensemble performed alongside guest artists, including Italian trumpet artist Andrea Tofanelli. And on Sunday night, the Tromba Mudi trumpet ensemble performed at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
If you missed this weekend’s performances, you can watch them in full on the Wells School of Music Facebook page.
