The Music of Billy Joel featuring John Grecia Band—June 14

Join in the celebration of the best piano man and five-time Grammy winner, Billy Joel! In this special event, The Music of Billy Joel, the Philadelphia-area John Grecia Band is hitting the Uptown stage to perform all the best Billy Joel hits. Sing along to your favorites—“Piano Man,” “Movin’ Out,” “My Life” and many more.

Uptown! is a home for live performances, film and education, and is a special gathering community place that reflects the diversity of our region. Tickets $15–$20. More at UptownWestChester.org.

2019 Philadelphia Concours d’Elegance—June 14–15

Cool Cars for Kids, Inc. presents a showcase of American and European classic and antique automobiles at this fundraiser. Nominate your car for the Premier Concours, register to bring your cool car to the Car Corral, or come out just to admire all the vehicles on display.

At the Preview Gala, get a first look at the vast range of automobiles before the show opens to the public, and enjoy an open bar, dinner, dancing and a silent auction. Benefits the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Preview Gala tickets, $150; general admission $25, under 18, free. More at CoolCarsForKids.org.

Ryerss Farm 5th Annual Family Fun Day—June 15

Bring the whole family for a day of old-fashioned fun at the 5th annual Family Fun Day at Ryerss Farm. Enjoy pony rides and hay rides, get your face painted or get a caricature portrait on-the-spot. Plus more fun for the kids—there’s a Moon Bounce to enjoy and horseshoes to decorate. Before you leave, grab a grilled burger or hotdog—or both—for lunch, and browse sweet treats at the bake sale.

Ryerss Farm cares for aged, abused or injured horses, providing a home for them. Proceeds benefit the farm. More at RyerssFarm.org.

State Street Blues Stroll in Downtown Media—June 15

This Father’s Day weekend, come out to experience a full round of blues with the theme, Celebrating The Women of the Blues. Hear a large and diverse lineup at 20 indoor locations and 2 outdoor stages. Most acts perform two or three sets, so you can move from venue to venue and see all your favorites.

Don’t miss Texas native and 2018 Texas State Musician Of The Year Marcia Ball on the Media Theatre main stage at 8:15 p.m. Check the schedule on the website for dinner-seating-only locations. Tickets $20–$30; under 21 free (except for Media Theatre). More at StateStreetBlues.com.

St. Joseph Community Festival—June 18–22

If you’re looking for some family fun, the St. Joseph Community Festival in Downingtown has you covered. Kids can head to The Midway for carnival rides and games while you hang out at the beer garden or Tiki Bar enjoying live entertainment.

There’s also a bake sale, bingo, gift basket raffles and much more! Catch the fireworks on Friday night at 9:30 p.m. At the gate, $1.25 per individual ticket, $25 for sheet of 24, $25 ride-all-night; online, $20 ride-all-night, $50 ride-all-week (5 nights). More at StJoesFestival.com.
