Paint out Chadds Ford—Through Mar. 14
Support local artists and celebrate nature’s beauty with the Chadds Ford Historical Society. After artists spend a few days painting the Brandywine Valley landscape during this Plein Air event, their art will be on display in an exhibit and available for purchase in the Visitor Center.
On Saturday, Feb. 8, head over to the Artist Reception and Wet Paint Sale to enjoy some wine or beer, browse through beautiful art, and meet and chat with the artists who created the pieces. Tickets $15. More at ChaddsFordHistory.org.

2020 Philadelphia Auto Show—Feb. 7–17
Whether you’re planning to buy a new car or just dreaming of it, head to Philadelphia for one of the country’s top auto shows. The Music of Elton John—Uptown!—Feb. 8
Jam out to hits by the Rocket Man at the Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center. Local John Grecia band are bringing a night of Elton John music to West Chester—back by popular demand! The band will perform all your favorites, including “Your Song,” “Bennie and the Jets” and “Tiny Dancer.”

2020 Cinema Celebration at The Colonial Theatre—Feb. 9
Live like a Hollywood star for a night at The Colonial Theatre’s Cinema Celebration. Strut down the red carpet, get photographed by the paparazzi and enjoy hilarious movie commentary and trivia in the 1903 theater. This year-in-film party is a can’t-miss event for movie-lovers.
Celebrate this year’s Oscar night in style by participating in one of three costume contests: Formal Wear, PJ’s and Character Costume. Winners take home a prize—will it be an Oscar? The more intimate Berry Theatre will host a quieter viewing experience. Family Second Sundays at Delaware Art Museum—Feb. 9
Celebrate the Chinese New Year with your kids at this month’s Second Sunday event at the Delaware Art Museum. It’s the Year of the Rat—an animal known to be clever and content with a quiet life and seen as a sign of wealth in Chinese culture.
