Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital Art Ability Exhibit & Sale—Through Jan. 26

This juried art show presents highly professional artwork in painting, photography, sculpture, glass, jewelry and more. The exhibit comes from the Art Ability program at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital, educating the community about the remarkable abilities of people with disabilities. All artwork is by artists with physical, cognitive, hearing and visual impairments.

Winterbreak Holiday Habitats at Brandywine Zoo—Dec. 30–Jan. 3

Go wild during the holidays at the Brandywine Zoo! The kiddos will love learning more about wild habitats and how animals survive during the winter. Each day will focus on a different type of habitat.

Enjoy fun crafts, games and tours of the zoo. A great way to keep the kids active and engaged, even during the winter break. Daily fee, $40–$50; weekly fee, $190–$240. More at BrandywineZoo.org.

Puttin’ On The Glitz—New Year’s Eve Gala—Dec. 31

Ring in the New Year at this fun-filled gala to support the Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center at West Chester’s “Party of the Year.” With the theme “Puttin’ On The Glitz!”, it’s a party with a purpose, supporting Uptown as a home for live performance, film, education and the life of our community.

Hear the First Ladies of Rock & Soul perform, join in the auction and raffle, and try delicious fare from John Serock Catering—carved prime filet of beef with horseradish aioli, eggplant rollantini and more. Tickets $150. More at UptownWestChester.org.

Midnight in the Square—Kennett Square Mushroom Drop—Dec. 31

What’s more fun than ringing in the New Year by watching a lighted mushroom hoisted into the sky? Kennett Square is happy to have its 7th annual Mushroom Drop right in the heart of the town, above State and Union Streets. Enjoy a laser light show, live entertainment, kids’ activities and food vendors.

Select Kennett Square restaurants and shops will be open until 12:30 a.m. for Midnight in the Square—be sure to make your dinner reservations soon. Free. More at MidnightInTheSquare.com.

Magical Mystery Doors at The Venue at Valley Forge Casino Resort—Jan. 4

These three iconic groups have become a part of our history, and Magical Mystery Doors takes their music and creates something new and unique for music fans everywhere.
