Media Film Festival—Apr. 4–6

Grab your popcorn and head to the 12th annual Media Film Festival. With a reputation as a vibrant forum for movie-goers and filmmakers, this festival includes the best short films from our community and around the world. You’ll find short films from every category—from narrative to animation and documentary to experimental. Something is sure to pique your interest.

Whether you’re watching an animated film from Iran or a comedy made here in DelCo, celebrate the shared love of film and art!

WCU—Live! Rumours: A Fleetwood Mac Tribute—Apr. 5

Relive some rock ‘n’ roll magic with Rumours: A Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band. Enjoy the heyday of this much-loved iconic group as the tribute band plays their greatest hits from 1975–1979.

Rumours has put together a show that spares no detail in capturing the feeling—from period accurate costumes to spot-on characterizations and musical performances. Travel back to an era when music was an unbridled cultural experience and bands weren’t afraid to put on a show!

Safe Harbor’s Spring Celebration—Apr. 6

Enjoy a night of cocktails, dinner, auctions and philanthropy at this year’s Safe Harbor Spring Celebration. This event benefits Safe Harbor of Chester County as they work to provide shelter and support for men and women in the county experiencing homelessness.

Highlights include the silent and live actions, as well as guest speaker Kalina Gendel—popular QVC host. Have fun while also giving back to the community!

77th Brandywine Hills Point-to-Point—Apr. 7

Be part of this family tradition celebrating the first race of the season at the 77th Brandywine Hills Point-to-Point. See exciting horse and pony steeplechase races, a parade of foxhounds, great raffle prizes and plenty of kid’s activities sure to keep your little ones entertained. Even your furry four-legged friends are welcome (on leash).

For Peter Pan on Her 70th Birthday—Apr. 10–May 20

Plan for night of great theater as People’s Light presents For Peter Pan on Her 70th Birthday. Instead of watching a mischievous boy who can fly, this play features five middle-aged siblings as they crack jokes, argue politics and mourn their recently deceased father over a bottle of Jameson, all while the oldest reminisces about her starring role as Peter Pan at the local children’s theatre 50 years ago.

The play follows the spirit of the original Peter Pan as the siblings travel on one final journey to Neverland and confront their fears of growing up and growing old.

Recommended for ages 12 and up, with a run time of 90 minutes with no intermission. Tickets $30–$53. Check website for times. PeoplesLight.org.
