Chester County in Bloom Photo Contest Rules 2021
CHESTER COUNTY IN BLOOM PHOTO CONTEST
The Short Version: Submit your original, unpublished photo between March 10th, 2021 and May 7th, 2021 (by hashtag #chestercountyinbloom or by e-mail to [email protected]) to enter our contest.
No prior photo contest winners; no professional photographers; and no more than one entry per person, please.
We’ll publish a select group in our June issue and post those photos on our Facebook page for popular voting (only one vote per photo is permitted, but voters can vote for more than one photo). The top vote-getters will be reviewed by a panel of judges, with the winner getting a prize, a Family Membership to Longwood Gardens. Our lawyers made us write the rules below.

CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD: Contest entry begins at 12:01:00 AM on March 10th, 2021 and ends at 11:59:00 PM on May 7, 2021.
ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to persons residing in the 50 United States or District of Columbia [excluding residents of Rhode Island] who are at least 21 years of age at the time of entry, have an email account, have not previously won a County Lines photo contest and are not a professional photographer (someone who makes a significant amount of income from their photography or holds themselves out to be a professional photographer on social media or by offering studio time and charging for services. This determination is made at County Lines’ sole discretion).
PRIZE: The Contest winner will receive one Family Membership to Longwood Gardens.
PHOTOS: Each electronic image must be an original piece of work taken by the contestant and shall not have been published elsewhere or won another photo competition. By entering the contest, the entrant warrants that the submitted image is an original work created solely by the entrant; does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity; and that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest in the entry.
HOW TO ENTER (Photo + Description): During the Entry Period, post your Blooms in Chester County photo (in jpg format) with the name of the image and brief description of when and where it was taken to our Facebook wall with the hashtag #chestercountyinbloom, or send it to [email protected]. This photo can be taken anywhere in the Chester County area (southeastern PA and northern DE) prior to the date of submission. All entries must be received during the Entry Period as determined by County Lines Magazine. Limit one entry per person/email address. Multiple entries received from any person or email address after the first will be void.
By entering the Contest, entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules. County Lines Magazine reserves the right to verify eligibility of all entrants. Entries submitted by entrants who do not meet the eligibility requirements are void. County Lines Magazine reserves the right to modify the scheduling of the Contest without prior notification.
SELECTION OF WINNERS: The Contest consists of three (3) rounds of evaluation. In Round 1, on or about May 10, 2021, potential photo semifinalists will be selected via an unbiased viewing panel from among all eligible entries received and notified by email. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.
During Round 2, finalist photos will be published in the June issue of County Lines Magazine, and shared via County Lines Magazine’s Facebook page throughout the month of June. Voters may vote for more than one photo during the contest, but may ONLY VOTE ONCE FOR ANY CONTESTANT. Votes may be casted any time during the Contest period.
In Round 3, photos with the most ‘likes’ to the original posts by County Lines Magazine will then be evaluated by an unbiased viewing panel. Use of voting exchanges or similar techniques or systems during the Facebook voting period may result in disqualification at County Lines’ sole discretion. The winner will be announced on Facebook.
PUBLICITY: By entering the contest, entrants grant County Lines a non-exclusive license to use their photograph in the magazine, website and social media. Participating in the Contest constitutes winner’s consent to County Lines Magazine use of winner’s name, likeness, photograph, opinions, and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, without further payment, consideration, notification or permission, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY; DISCLAIMERS/RELEASE: County Lines Magazine reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
By accepting the prize, the winner warrants compliance with all rules of this Contest and agrees to release County Lines Magazine and their affiliates, employers, officers, directors, agents, representatives, (the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, loss or damage of any kind incurred with respect to participation in the Contest or the awarding, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize, or participation in prize-related activities, and acknowledges that said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to prize or portion thereof. No transfer of prizes permitted.
Each participant agrees to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any liability arising from or related to the Contest. Further, participants fully and unconditionally release all claims for consideration, copyright infringement and all other claims of any nature relating to the use of their entry, name or likeness.
