Plein Air Brandywine Valley 2019 presented by Children’s Beach House

Over 80 accomplished plein air artists from all across the US will be painting in and around the Brandywine Valley from October 13-17.  On October 18, Winterthur Museum and Gardens hosts the Plein Air Brandywine Valley Opening Reception starting at 7 pm.  All art will be entered into competition with prizes awarded during the Reception that night.  For Tickets and information go to  www.cbhinc.org and www.pleinairbrandywinevalley.org

Special events and free to the public during the week include the Marshallton Quick Draw starting at 4 pm in the village of Marshallton.  Artists will paint throughout town followed by a reception showcasing the art on the porch of the Marshalton Inn starting at 6 pm.  On October 17, Nocturne Kennett Square will see artists around the borough painting at night.  Artists take to the streets starting at 630.  An exhibition will be held along E. State Street between Union and Broad Streets.  Come out, engage with the artists and watch them create beautiful work.

The Art Exhibition, Show and Sale continues at Winterthur Museum and Garden Visitor’s Center on October 19 – 20, 10–4, free to the public.  Proceeds from all art sales benefit the Youth Development Programs at Children’s Beach House.
