OXFORD ARTS ALLIANCE DECORATOR SHOWHOUSE & GARDENS

Get a glimpse of the latest inspirations of 30 foremost interior designers at this year’s premiere area Showhouse.

You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into the pages of Architectural Digest when you visit this year’s Oxford Arts Alliance Decorator Showhouse & Gardens in the tony Westover Hills neighborhood of Greenville, open October 4 to November 3.  There you’ll discover the artistry of the tri-state area’s foremost interior and garden designers at this year’s showcase of what’s new in home décor.

Tour dazzlingly decorated rooms, each brimming with individual style and flare. Stroll through the perfectly restored 1927 Tudor-style home, garden areas and garage and find a bounty of different inspirations … imagine National Geographic on safari meets the Four Seasons. “This has been fun, creating a sanctuary for my imaginary client,” says one designer. (Photos from the 2011 Showhouse shown here give you just a hint of what’s in store this year.)

The Oxford Arts Alliance delighted those of us who pined for the Vassar Showhouses, which ended in 2006, by sponsoring a Decorator Showhouse in 2011 at Stonebridge Mansion in Chadds Ford, PA. A huge community success as a fundraiser, the event is back by popular demand. And there’s little doubt that the Showhouse also contributed to the property being sold that year.
